The Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley presents the 4th Annual TriWizard TriMile Race and Potter in the Park Fundraiser for Literacy on Saturday, August 28, 2021 starting at Shelter #1 in Bisset Park in Radford, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 8:00-9:00 AM: Race Day Registration
• 9:45 AM: Race Begins

Calling all wizards of Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin! Participants will walk, run or fly through the wizarding world of Bisset Park on Hogwarts Move-In Day at 9 3/4 o'clock (9:45 am). Join us in-person in Radford or run the course virtually using an invisibility cloak!

There will be:
• Costume Contest (for registered people and pets)
• Door Prizes
• House Competition
• T-shirts and Pet Bandanas
• Race Awards

All proceeds help local adults learn to read!

All wizard racers will receive a magical Potter T-shirt (guaranteed if registered by August 17th), a lightning bolt tattoo, and other fun goodies. Magical creatures will receive a Potter-themed bandanna.

In addition to magical medals for the fastest male and female racers, awards will be bestowed upon the male and female wizards with the fastest times in the following age categories: 3-5; 6-9; 10-12; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and older.

From August 11th-25th, individuals are $30.00 for both in-person and virtual and teams of four are $90.00. Race day individuals are $35.00 and teams of four are $100.00.

Well-behaved, leashed pets are $10.00. Children under the age of 6 are free however no t-shirt is included.

Participants registered by August 17th will be guaranteed a free t-shirt. Registered pets will receive a race-themed bandanna. T-shirts and bandanas are not guaranteed after August 17th.

Raffle tickets will be on sale too! Support literacy and take a chance to win a set of four House pillows, a literacy-themed Potter quilt, a House Potter quilt, and/or a guitar. Tickets are $5.00 each or a set of 5 raffle tickets for $20.00.

A costume contest will be held and awards will be granted in the categories of youth, adult, and magical creature/pet.
