Watch the Virginia Tech Football team open their 2021 regular football season and compete against ACC conference opponent the University of North Carolina on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Lane Stadium.

Game Day Schedule:
• 2:30-5:15 PM: Hokie Village Fan Festival
• 3:30 PM: Hokie Walk on Beamer Way
• 4:00 PM: Gates Open
• 4:45 PM: March to Victory with bands & cheerleaders starting in Chicken Hill
• 6:00 PM: Kick-Off for Game

This game serves as the 2021 home opener and is the Orange Effect Game so all fans are encouraged to wear orange.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

For the first time in its 56-year history, Lane Stadium will offer beer and seltzers for purchase on the concourses for those ages 21 and older.

In efforts to improve the flow and speed of transactions on all concourses of Lane, Virginia Tech Athletics introduces all cashless concessions for the first time.

The Hokie Village Fan Festival will be open before the game from 12:00-2:45 PM. Live music is planned for the UNC game. Fans can enjoy food trucks and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) all season long, with some additional options available in the circle drive on the West Side of Cassell Coliseum. At various games throughout the season, fans will find a rock climbing wall, a petting zoo and a bungee trampoline.
