Blacksburg Books presents a Children's Story Hour with Samantha Anderson on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
Samantha Anderson, National American Miss Virginia 2020, will be reading “Me and the Sky” written by her family friend, Captain Beverly Bass - a pioneering pilot. Samantha’s mom, godmother, and “Aunt Bev” were all among the first female captains to be hired by major airlines. As Miss Virginia, Samantha has dedicated her time and philanthropic efforts to carrying on her mother’s legacy by advocating for Women in Aviation.
Admission is free and all children are welcome.
