Claytor Lake State Park presents the Fincastle Colonial Militia Encampment on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Visit Claytor Lake State Park's Christian Chimney to see life on the frontier as it was in the 1700's. The militia will be encamped in our park along with various living history exhibits. Exhibitors will also be selling the items that they create as it would have been done at that time.
Tours of the Howe House will begin on the front porch of the Howe House at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Admission is free however there is a Virginia State Park parking fee of $7.00 per vehicle.
