Virginia Tech presents a Meet and Greet with Rocket Boy & NASA Engineer Homer Hickam on Thursday, November 11, 2021 inside the Holtzman Alumni Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Enjoy an evening with Virginia Tech alumnus Homer Hickam (class of 1964). Hickam is a former NASA engineer, Vietnam War veteran, and the best-selling author of the memoir "Rocket Boys", which was adapted into the popular blockbuster movie "October Sky".

Hickam will share highlights from his newest book, "Don’t Blow Yourself Up", with a reception and book signing to follow.

Registration is $10.00 per person will include the option to purchase Hickam's new book for $24.00.
