Description:
Blacksburg Library and Sustainable Blacksburg continue their Sustainable Blacksburg Lunch & Learn series with the title "The Surprising Cost of Food Waste and What We Can Do About It" on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
We waste about 40% of food produced in the US every year. Join Kas Church, Assistant Director, Food Access Initiatives at Virginia Tech, as she shares about the Campus Kitchen at Virginia Tech (CKVT).
Since its founding in 2015, CKVT has diverted over 240,000 pounds of food from campus dining centers to local food access partners.
