The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents the Opening Reception for "Student Arts Spotlight" on Friday, December 3, 2021 inside the Moss Arts Center Grand Lobby.
The Moss Arts Center celebrates the creativity and diverse perspectives that span Virginia Tech’s majors with its "Student Arts Spotlight".
Presented by the Moss Arts Center's student ambassadors and currently on display in all the center’s gallery spaces, the exhibition includes more than 100 selected works of art created by over 100 Virginia Tech undergraduate and graduate students. Some of the student work can also be viewed on the Moss Arts Center website and social media channels.
Students were encouraged to explore themes of gathering as they created or selected pieces for this show. From collages, sketches, photography, and paintings to digital works, sculpture, and film, the exhibition features a range of work selected from 228 submissions representing over 70 academic disciplines and each Virginia Tech college.
With over 200 submissions from students in every college across campus, this year's exhibition, presented by the Moss Arts Center Student Ambassadors, is bigger than ever before!
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The “Student Arts Spotlight” is curated by Meggin Hicklin, Moss Arts Center exhibitions program manager and Ali Palin, Moss Arts Center curatorial graduate assistant.
According to Virginia Tech policy, attendees are required to wear a mask.
