Description:
Claytor Lake State Park offers the 2021 Christmas for the Fishes starting on Sunday, December 26, 2021 through Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Marina parking lot.

Enjoy a free day at Claytor Lake State Park when you donate your Christmas tree to assist in creating aquatic habitat for our lake.

To enjoy the free parking day, please follow the parking pass instructions that are posted next to the Christmas tree drop signs. Vehicles parked without a parking pass may be subject to fines. All trees must be free of lights, tinsel and other ornaments. Only real trees can be donated.

The drop day into the lake is currently scheduled for Thursday, January 20th (backup date is Tuesday, January 25th). If inclement weather is forecast please email claytorlake@dcr.virginia.gov or call 540-643-2500.
