The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents a Clarinet Recital with Victor Chavez on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in the Squires Recital Salon on the campus of Virginia Tech.

Visiting artist Victor Chavez performs a clarinet recital. He is a Mexican-American, fifth-generation musician from El Paso, Texas and Associate Professor of Clarinet at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

As an active free-lance clarinetist, Chavez has performed with the Waco Symphony Orchestra, Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, Erie Chamber Orchestra, Belton Symphony Orchestra, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, and Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra Chamber Series. He is currently the principal clarinetist of the Tri-Cities Opera Company in Binghamton, New York and principal clarinetist of the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Tickets are $15.00 for the general public, $12.00 for seniors and $10.00 for students.
