The Calfee Community & Cultural Center presents "A Night To Remember", a fundraising gala to benefit the Calfee Community & Cultural Center, on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Omni Place Event Center.

Enjoy a gourmet appetizer buffet by Chef T and dance to live music from Groove Kontrol! Bid on a variety of items in our silent auction, including original artwork, gift certificates to local businesses, and unique experiences like box seats for a weekend Pulaski River Turtles game. And, enjoy the cash bar.

Have a great evening and support our efforts to renovate the historic Calfee Training School building as a multi use community center, child care, museum and community kitchen.

Tickets are $50.00 per person and include one free drink for those 21 or older and special treats just for you.

There is also a COVID-19 to-go option available. Head to Omni Place at 6:30 PM to pick up your dinner and join us for our silent auction online from your home and receive a special email at 7:00 PM.

The Calfee Community & Cultural Center is revitalizing the legacy of the historic Calfee Training School by serving our community's present needs in order to create a stronger future.

The institution that came to be known as the Calfee Training School first opened its doors in southwest Virginia as a school for African American children in 1894. After the original building burned down, the current facility was built by the Public Works Administration in 1939 and continued to be used as a school for African American children until the Pulaski County Public School system fully desegregated in 1966.

The Omni Place Event Center is located at 7331-B Lee Highway in Fairlawn, VA.
