Description:
Claytor Lake State Park presents Full Moon - Light up the Lake on Friday, March 18, 2022.

Take a stroll along our lake shore as you visit several mesmerizing lights that have been placed in the lake. Critters of many varieties may be drawn to the lights, but just as in any fishing situation, we never know what, if anything, will be drawn in.

Identification brochures may be picked up at the beginning of the program and a ranger will be on duty to assist with identifying anything seen.

Bring a strong flashlight if you want to search the waters between the lights and be sure to visit the Gas Dock where our underwater camera will be in use.

This event will also be an opportunity to watch March's Full Worm Moon (the last full moon of winter) rise over Claytor Lake.

This is a free event, but there is a $7.00 per vehicle parking fee payable as you enter the park.

For more information, visit: http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/claytor-lake or https://www.facebook.com/vaspclaytorlake or contact John Duncan at 540-250-2270.
