Allez is a red point style roped climbing competition with both top-rope climbing, and lead climbing routes, using a rope and harnesses and working with a belayer. It is sanctioned by USA Climbing, the national governing body for competitive climbing in the United States.
Allez is not about being the best climber. It is about encouraging others to be their best. Allez is about supporting Crimper's and our climbing community. It is an inclusive event celebrating all levels of climbers.
The USA Climbing-sanctioned Youth Competition will be held in the morning and a non-sanctioned Citizens Competition, for anyone who wants to climb, will be held in the afternoon. Beginner through advanced routes available to climb in the competition. Each route has a point value that corresponds with its level of difficulty, harder climbs are worth more points.
In the red-point style, those who compete try to climb a route as many times as they want in the course of the three hour competition window, only receiving the points if they successfully climb it. Each competitors’ three highest point climbs are added together for the final score.
Everyone in attendance will require a mask. Athletes that are actively being judged at a USA Climbing sanctioned competition are not required to wear a mask
Spectators are welcome and admission for spectators is free.
