The 2022 Virginia Tech 3.2 Mile Run in Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 beginning at 9:00 am starting outside War Memorial Hall.
On this day, the Virginia Tech community reflects on the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us on April 16, 2007. This community run/walk throughout the campus of Virginia Tech strives to bring fellow Hokies together, to feel the support of the community, and to celebrate the lives of our friends and family members.
The event will begin at 9:43 AM with a moment of silence to honor and remember the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty.
The Run in Remembrance is a 3.2-mile loop around the Blacksburg campus that begins and ends on the Virginia Tech Drillfield near the April 16th Memorial and passes by landmarks such as the Duck Pond, the Grove, the Virginia Tech Pylons, and will take runners and walkers through Lane Stadium.
Runners, walkers and stroller pushers of all levels are welcome. Please note there are no awards and no timing results.
The 3.2 Run is free and open to the public.
Event t-shirts (in both youth & adult sizes) will be available for purchase for those who want them at cost with shipping and in-person pickup options. The t-shirts will be $6.00 each. The small charge is to cover the cost to make the shirt and will ensure that that all participants who want to have a shirt will get one. Participants must register by Monday, March 28th to receive a shirt for local pickup for the April 16th weekend.

A virtual option is also encourage though does not require registration. Virtual participants can still purchase t-shirts and have them shipped to them.
Online t-shirt orders will be taken until Monday, April 18th.
