Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Christiansburg, VA holds their Earth Day Art Contest with an entry due date of Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Note: The entry due date has been extended until Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 6:00 PM. The original due date was Friday, April 22, 2022 at 6:30 PM.
Join the Earth Day Art Contest with either traditional art or functional art. All art entries needs to relate to the earth day theme (ex. beauty in nature, wildlife, sustainability, environmental issues, etc.).
Traditional art can be a drawing, sculpture, embroidery, ceramic or any non-functional, visual art. It can be made of recycled materials or natural/earthly materials or environmentally-friendly materials, but does not have to be if your artwork already conveys the theme.
Functional art can be a piece of furniture, shelving, utensil, tool, pottery, or any form of art that serves a purpose (more than just visual art) preferably made of earthly, natural materials (wood carving) or environmentally-friendly materials or an upcycled product.
Contest entries are free.
Register your entry(ies) at https://www.habitatnrv.org/events/earth-day-art-contest.
Art pieces need to be brought to NRV ReStore by Saturday, April 23rd (Earth Day) and awards will be announced on Saturday, April 30th.
All pieces will be displayed at the ReStore.
