The New River Robotics Association presents a Parent-Teacher Workshop: How to Become a FIRST Robotics Coach on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2270 Kraft Drive within the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.
Schedule:
• 1:00-3:00 PM: Parent Workshop
• 4:00-6:00 PM: Teacher Workshop
New River Robotics Association is comprised of volunteers from local businesses and professions use our time and effort to promote STEM in the New River Valley. With COVID waning, we are gearing up to create more opportunities for youth to experience project-based and problem-solving learning that compliments their education.
Our first step is to build up more teams in our communities. We seek to offer innovative ways for youth to present their creative ideas in fun teamwork, real-life themed activities that are “sports of the mind”. Our localities are growing in STEM industries, and we hope to encourage more youth to “go pro” in those STEM related jobs.
This free May 1st workshop will discuss the programs that can be easily implemented by anyone and be supported in many ways by New River Robotics Association, its volunteers, and partnering sponsors.
