The Virginia Center for Civil War Studies presents the keynote lecture from Dr. Crystal Feimster of Yale University titled “Truth Be Told: The Battle for Black Freedom in Civil War Louisiana” on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in the Solitude Room located within The Inn at Virginia Tech.
This is a keynote lecture at the conference "The Great Strike: Slavery During the American Civil War," sponsored by the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies at Virginia Tech.
Most conference sessions are only open to presenters and registered participants, but the two keynote lectures are free and open to the public.
