NRV Cares presents the 2022 Spring Family Fun Festival on Hickok Street in downtown Christiansburg, VA on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
Join us for a free festival for children and families with ice cream, sno-cones, face painting, popcorn, candy, balloon animals, games, activities, and prizes! And, the Hokie Bird will be joining us from 3:00-4:00 PM.
Participating organizations include: NRV CARES, MCDSS, Montgomery County Victim's Witness program, Children's Advocacy Center of the NRV, Child Care Aware, Montgomery- Floyd Regional Library System, CHIP, Wonder Universe, the Women's Resource Center of the NRV, NRVCS, DePaul Community Resources, Literary Volunteers of the NRV, Christiansburg Police Department, First Church of God, Carter Bank & Trust, Macaroni Kid NRV, Youth Advocate Programs, Intercept Health, Hope Valley Church
Everything is free and all are welcome.
In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Thursday, April 28th.
NRV CARES is an organization in the New River Valley that provides child advocacy, resources, education and services. Our program areas include CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Parent Education including Parenting Young Children Courses, Circle of Parents Support Group, Parenting Through Separation and Divorce Seminars, and Parenting workshops and Community Education programs ("Hugs and Kisses" plays, Stewards of Children trainings, the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign to increase awareness of child abuse/neglect, events for the community concerning child welfare issues, and many more).
NRV CARES’ mission is to strengthen families and protect children with a vision of our NRV free of child abuse.
