Description:
Radford Public Library presents a Radford Reads program with author John Lane on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Author John Lane is an emeritus professor who taught creative writing and environmental studies at Wofford College. As an avid kayaker, he has written often about water and rivers. He will visit the library to discuss his new collection of poetry and prose, written over thirty-five years, about kayaking, rivers, and river people.

John Lane is a poet, essayist, author and professor of English and environmental studies at Wofford College where he also directs the Goodall Center for Environmental Studies. His books include "Circling Home", "Chattooga", "Anthropocene Blues", "My Paddle to the Sea" and "Coyote Settles the South (all Georgia)". He also co-edited, with Gerald Thurmond, "The Woods Stretched for Miles: New Nature Writing from the South (also Georgia)". He has published several volumes of poetry, essays, and a novel, as well as a selection of his online columns, "The Best of the Kudzu Telegraph".
