Description:
Virginia Tech presents their Arbor Day 2022 Celebration on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Duck Pond.

Join University Arborist Jamie King, of the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities, and Professor John Seiler, of the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation, in an Arbor Day celebration at the Duck Pond.

King and Seiler will share the history of a black willow that was once located at the Duck Pond, followed by a planting of a clone from the former willow that Seiler developed. Planting and safety demonstrations by experts in the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities will also be included.

There will be three tours of Virginia Tech's Blacksburg campus trees available for participants to join:
• Golf course special tree tour with Grace Steger.
• Old growth forest tour with Jackson Helling.
• Campus urban forest tour with Jamie King.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
