The 2022 Pulaski County Kids Fishing Day will be held at Camp Powhatan located in Pulaski County on Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The Pulaski County Kids Fishing Day is back! This is a free, family friendly event designed to bring awareness to children and parents of the ample outdoor opportunities available in our area.
Five hundred trout will be stocked for the kids to catch with a three trout limit per kid. And, there will be a chance to win free prizes including a Virginia lifetime fishing license for Virginia kids and the longest fish will receive a free skin mount! Kids must be present to win.
Free t-shirts will be provided to the youth participants and a free lunch will be provided by River of Life Church.
A fish cleaning station will be available for use. There will be inflatables for kids to enjoy and a shuttle will be provided for overflow parking.
The event is free and only children 15 and under are allowed to fish. No registration is required.
The event is rain or shine except for major flooding.
Camp Powhatan is located at 2600 Max Creek Road in Hiwassee, VA located within Pulaski County.
