• 6:30 PM: The Mike Mitchell Band performs

This great local band will have you stomping your feet to the sounds of the fiddle and singing along with the sacred songs they offer. The crowd is wowed with the high energy and traditional bluegrass music they perform. Another local performer Daniel Davis will open our show with his amazing ability to play and sing songs on demand.

Mike Mitchell is a singer and songwriter from Floyd, VA specializing in the fiddle and violin. Mike plays traditional and contemporary bluegrass music in the southwest Virginia area.

With his effortless vocals, distinctive songwriting, and instrumental prowess, Mike continues to capture audiences and carve out his own place in bluegrass.

Educated at the Western Conservatory of Music in Ontario, Canada, Mike Mitchell began playing the violin at the age of five. His passion for music led him to a string performance major at Youngstown State University, and more than 10 years of national touring with rock and acoustic ensembles.

Aditionally, Mike performs with the acclaimed mountain music group, Blue Moonshine, and Floyd Time.
