Claytor Lake State Park presents Vintage Fishing Display & Get 'em Hooked on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

Join the rangers for a short discussion of fishing techniques and of the fish commonly found in Claytor Lake. This event is for beginners as well as accomplished fisherman. A practice casting area is provided as well as equipment and bait. Feel free to bring your own equipment.

On display also during this time will be a variety of vintage fishing and lake related items as well as a boat from 1962 to celebrate the history of fishing and lake activities at the park. Check out early rods, reels, lures, and more as you try your luck at fishing in our lake and practice fly-fishing.

This event is free but the $7.00 per vehicle parking fee does apply.

A valid Virginia fishing license is required for those 16 years old or older and may be purchased in the Gift Shop or online.
