Description:
The Floyd Center for the Arts hosts the 10th annual two-day Floyd Artisan Trail starting on Saturday, June 18, 2022 and Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day.

The Artisan Trail is back! This two-day tour features sites across Floyd County with activities and demonstrations at artisan home studios, galleries and shops, farms and farm markets, restaurant and lodging sites.

The Artisan Trail is a free, self-guided tour that will highlight over 30 different individuals and businesses. The Artisan Trail is a years-long tradition in Floyd to celebrate the abundant artistry available in this area. The Artisan Trail invites locals and tourists alike to travel around the county to visit the open studios, see live demos, and purchase one-of-a-kind handmade art and goods.

Join family and friends this year to visit artisan home-studios to see live demos of ceramics, wood-working, glass art, fibers and textile art, and more. The Trail happily hosts local farms and farm markets, offering tours and locally grown produce and farm goods. There may even be adorable farm animals to see!

Dating back to 2011, the Artisan Trail has provided a charming way for visitors (and locals) to not only experience the scenic beauty of Floyd County but also experience the county’s diversity of artisanal talent. The tour brings makers and customers closer together by allowing them to interact in the cherished places where the artisans work and create. Nothing is rushed or harried. Visitors can talk with the farmer or beekeeper, watch an artisan’s studio demonstration, or simply search for artisanal treasures.
