"Our Town," by Thornton Wilder, won a Pulitzer Prize in 1938 for its intricate and at times heartbreaking exploration of human relationships.
At the center of the drama are George and Emily, two youngsters who live next door to one another in the fictional town of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire. George and Emily’s friendship eventually grows into something more; using their connection as an outwards-expanding prism, Wilder introduces us to other citizens of Grover’s Corners, and with this cast of characters, examines life in all its complexity. Please join us for this American classic. Directed by Amanda Nelson.
The runtime is approximately two hours with two intermissions.
Admission is free though reservations are required.
