Christiansburg Library presents a Lunch and Learn titled "Adverse Childhood Experiences" on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Bring your lunch and learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) with New River Valley Community Services.
ACEs are traumatic experiences in childhood and the teenage years that may put children at risk for violence, chronic health problems, and mental health/substance use disorders.
Youth-serving organizations, coaches, caregivers, and community members who gain awareness of ACEs can also help prevent them from happening, giving our children a better opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe and stable environment.
