Villa Appalaccia Winery presents Movie and Music Night at the Villa featuring the film "Under the Tuscan Sun" as part of their 4th Wine-aversary Weekend on Friday, August 19, 2022.
Event Schedule:
• ~5:30 PM: Music from Virginia Hollow Begins
• ~8:30 PM: Film Begins
Join us after hours for a whole evening of fun. Live music from Virginia Hollow will kick off after the tasting room closes around 5:30 PM. We'll offer a special menu of popcorn, hot dogs and nachos to pair with the movie feature, "Under the Tuscan Sun". Movie will start around sunset.
"Under the Tuscan Sun" is a 2003 comedy romance starring Diane Lane, Raoul Bova and Sandra Oh rated PG-13.
Film Synopsis: A writer impulsively buys a villa in Tuscany in order to change her life.

Virginia Hollow is a mixture of Americana, Bluegrass, Country, Indie, and Rock. A singer-songwriter band that performs songs written by lead singer Carrie Hinkley, along with an occasional handpicked cover or two.
Virginia Hollow is a band and a sound born from the hills, valleys and mountains of Appalachia. Their performances and music take you on a journey fraught with raw emotions and stories of love, trust, betrayal and longing. When all is said and done, the haunting melodies of Carrie Hinkley's soulful voice are hard to shake off and instead keep returning and replaying in one's mind, like an untamed mantra of beauty and tragedy. This is a band whose time has come and needs to be reckoned with.

Also, during the Wine-aversary Weekend, Villa Appalaccia will be holding a Blue Ridge Summit Raffle with raffle proceeds supporting Plenty!, Floyd's local food pantry. Tickets are $10.00 each and the winning ticket will receive a two-night stay at the Blue Ridge Summit, which is Villa Appalaccia’s sister Airbnb property, located just across the parkway.
