The League of Women Voters of Montgomery County, VA presents the talk titled "Voter Information from County Registrar" and membership social on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Blacksburg, VA.
Connie Viar, Montgomery County Registrar of Elections, will explain new laws about voting, registration, and redistricting. Viar will talk about how the new voting rules and redistricting will affect elections in the New River Valley.
The public is invited to attend the meeting, learn about the latest election rules changes and meet League members. Admission is free.
The League of Women Voters works to educate and register voters. It welcomes new members to join in the effort. Members and guests will learn about upcoming plans for voter registration and voter information events and have a chance to visit in a reception following Viar’s presentation.
All women and men over 16 years of age are welcome to learn how to they can promote voting, said Debbie Travis, Interim co-president with Peggy Layne, of the Montgomery County League.
