The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center (CRC), RBTC Cybersecurity Forum and the Virginia Cyber Range presents Hands on Cybersecurity "Capture the Flag" Game, Food & Prizes as part of the Game Changer Week 2022 on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Event Schedule:
• 12:00-1:00 PM: Lunch & CTF Demo and Overview (optional)
• 1:00-4:00 PM: Casual, Hands on CTF Practice Sessions (optional)
• 5:30-8:30 PM: Regional Cybersecurity Capture The Flag Competition
Enjoy a free lunch, "Capture the Flag" game practice sessions, followed at 5:30 PM by a regional CTF Cybersecurity competition with more food, t-shirts, swag and $1,000+ in major prizes!
This is it! The biggest open, Cybersecurity event in our region! The 2022 regional, Cybersecurity Capture the Flag competition is brought to you by the Virginia Cyber Range, RBTC, CRC, and Roanoke Infosec Exchange. Whether you're a security pro, a beginner, or just interested in learning more about hands on Cybersecurity, register and come play this game with us and you're guaranteed to learn something new! Sponsored by Fortinet, Guidepoint Security and others. There's free food, snacks, beverages for all ages, event t-shirts, swag, and prizes to the winners of this three hour, hands on CTF competition. Don't forget to bring your own laptop and power supply.

Optional festivities and food begins earlier in the day in the CRC.
The Lunch & CTF Demo and Overview is optional. This Capture The Flag demo event (lunch provided), by the VirginiaCyberRange.org is to demonstrate the CTF game, give an overview of how to log in, join the CTF and segue into practicing (after lunch) for our big CTF event that evening after work. Register in advance to get your free lunch, or just show up with your own.

The Casual, Hands on CTF Practice Sessions is optional. In this open floor, come and go time all afternoon, we are running hands on demos on how to log into and solve Cybersecurity challenges on the VA Cyber Range's Cloud CTF educational gaming system. Participants can bring a laptop or just come and watch. Learn more about real world hands on Network Security, Web hacking (and defense), Cryptography, Reverse Engineering, Kali Linux and more! All this is to help attendees prepare for the big CTF event later that night.
All Cybersecurity events are being held at: 1691 Innovation Drive in Blacksburg, VA (meeting/training center around the rear) within the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.
