The YMCA at Virginia Tech continues their Welcoming Week events with the Community Poem Project Deadline on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the YMCA at Virginia Tech.
We invite the community to participate in a Community Poetry Project hosted by the Blacksburg Bookstore. This project aims to tap into our thoughts, ideas, and feelings about a certain topic.
As part of Welcoming Week we would like you to reflect on 'welcoming' and 'belonging' for all, no matter where one comes from. Please share your words as it relates to this year's theme "Where We Belong". All submissions should be sent via email to info@blacksburgbooks.com to show contact info no later than Friday, September 9th.
The reading of the poem will be during the Welcoming Festival on Sunday, September 18th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Farmers Market Square in Blacksburg.
