Alexander Black House & Cultural Center presents Musician Earl White presenting the lecture "History of Blacks in Old-Time" on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Earl White, a fiddler who hails from Willis, a small town in Floyd County, will be presenting a lecture on the "History of Blacks in Old-Time" with a musical demonstration, and a Q&A at the end.
A prominent figure in the Old Time music and dance community for more than 40 years, Earl White is one of the few African Americans playing and perpetuating the music that was once an essential part of Black culture and Black communities across the United States.
Admission is free.
The Alexander Black House is located at 204 Draper Road SW in Blacksburg, VA.
