The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the 19th Annual Progeny Short Film Festival on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 inside the Burruss Hall Auditorium on the campus of Virginia Tech.
The Progeny Short Film Festival takes place annually in Blacksburg, Virginia, hosted by Virginia Tech’s School of Performing Arts. The festival aims to provide a platform for independent filmmakers and students around Southwest Virginia. Progeny seeks to uplift filmmakers producing thought-provoking content showcasing a diverse range of styles, genres, and interests. While Progeny Short Film Festival is proud to uplift our local community, we also welcome submissions nationally and internationally as well.
Categories include: narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, international, Hokie Short and social commentary.
Admission is free and no ticket is required.
The Progeny Film Festival mission is to foster and showcase short, thoughtful, independent-minded, DIY-spirited, artful films by filmmakers from Southwest Virginia and the surrounding areas.
