Runabout Sports presents the 2022 Brush Mountain Breakdown Trail Race featuring a 12 Miler, 7 Miler and 5K races on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Schedule:
• 8:00 AM: Race Day Packet Pickup / Registration
• 9:00 AM: 5k Fun Run Start
• 9:30 AM: 12 Miler & 7 Miler Start

The Brush Mountain Breakdown features three different races, a 12 miler, 7 miler, and 5k fun run. The 12 miler, 7 miler and 5K fun run are all on trails inside Pandapas Park which is part of the Jefferson National Forest. The run features a challenging course with many hills and some creek crossings (water less than knee deep). There will be rest stations with energy gels, bars, water and Gatorade drink.

All of the Brush Mountain races are on trails and very limited sections of forest fire roads. The trails cross creeks and offer a good challenge with hills. The trails are well-used and are in the scenic Jefferson National Forest.

Registration can be made online, in person at Runabout Sports in Blacksburg, VA or the day of the race starting at 8:00 AM.

12 miler, and 7 miler awards are given to the first finisher in each age group for men and women and top three finishers overall (also by gender). The age groups are 18 and under, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over. 5k awards are given to the top three finishers overall for men and women.

The Brush Mountain Breakdown is also part of the 2022 RunAbout Race Series.
