NLCF for Honduras Aid presents the 2022 Donut Dash 5k on Saturday, November 12, 2022 around the Virginia Tech Drillfield.

Event Schedule:
• 12:00 PM: Registration & Check-In
• 12:50 PM: Welcome & Rules
• 1:00 PM: Race starts
• 2:00 PM: Course closed
• ~2:15 PM: Closing Ceremony & Awards

Join the fun by running or walking halfway through a 5k, eat some delicious donuts with each one taking seconds off your total time (1 donut = 1 minute off), and then finishing back strong! What could be a better way to spend a Saturday?

All proceeds will go towards New Life Christian Fellowship’s work in Honduras.

Runners will start near the April 16th Memorial and head towards the McBryde corner of the Drillfield. Then, runners will proceed to make four laps (4 x1.25km laps) around the outer grassy edge of the Drillfield. The person with the lowest overall donut-adjusted finish time wins.

Note: This is an open course so other runners and pedestrians will be on the Drillfield.

This year’s commemorative item will be a Donut Dash drawstring bag, 2022 race sticker, snack and race bib. Race registrations completed by October 15th are guaranteed a race commemorative item. Extra items might be available.

The event is $30.00 to participate in the race and free for spectators.

Water and donuts will be provided at the race.

You may only have one donut in your hand at a time. You do not need to finish eating your last donut before you start running, but it must be finished before you cross the finish line for the time deduction to count. Donut eating is not required and time does not stop while you eat.

Participants are limited to 60 minutes to complete the course. After one hour the course will be closed.

Recognition will be given to the top males and females in each age category: 14 & Under, 15-17, 18-21, 22-25, 26-40, 40+.

Parking will be available around the Drillfield which is free for the public on the weekends.
