Description:
Dogtown Roadhouse presents their 5th Annual Floyd Community Thanksgiving Potluck on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
The Thanksgiving tradition is back, Floyd friends! We are so excited and thankful to be able to come together with you all as a community.
We're normally closed Tuesdays, but we are so happy to open our doors so we can all give thanks together.
Attendees Need to Bring:
• 1 (minimum) donation for Plenty! Farm & Food Bank is required at the door
• 1 (minimum) side or dessert to share
Dogtown will provide the turkey and tea, sodas and water. The bar will also be open for alcohol tabs.
Seph Custer will be opening on stage at 7:00 PM with his awesome tunes. A Floyd Musician Community Jam will immediately follow Seph's performance. This special community jam will be organized and led by Noah Broe. Drum kit and amps will be provided. All musicians need to do is bring your instrument of choice. This will be a very relaxed structure and we want as many musicians to join in as possible.
This night will also be a special fundraiser to collect donations in memory of our dear friend Mark Proctor for The June Bug Center. For those who don't know, Mark was the brilliant, loving mastermind behind our community Thanksgiving Potlucks and he took great joy in making it happen, as well as being a large part of the spirit of the night. He also embraced the creative arts, and was in strong support of youth having affordable access to learning and growing in the arts. Donations are appreciated and optional.
The June Bug Center for Arts and Education (JBC) is located in Floyd, VA and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing music, performing arts, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) through ongoing after school programs, classes, and community theatre productions that are affordable to the New River Valley community
Doors open at 5:30 PM and dinner starts at 6:00 PM.
Dogtown Roadhouse is located at 302 South Locust Street in Floyd, VA.
