New River Community College presents a Book Talk and Author Q&A with Dr. Rick Van Noy on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 225A Martin Hall on their Dublin, VA campus.
Dr. Van Noy will discuss his most recent book, "Sudden Spring: Stories of Adaptation in a Climate-Changed South." The book is based on stories from his travels in the American South, as well as from conversations with government, geological, and conservation experts. He is an author and professor of English at Radford University.
Rick Van Noy is a local author, professor and outdoor enthusiast. He has written two books "Surveying the Interior" and "A Natural Sense of Wonder. His latest book is entitled "Sudden Spring: Stories of Adaptation in a Climate-Changed South".
Rick grew up in a small town in New Jersey. After stints in Colorado, Washington, and Ohio, he moved to Radford, Virginia, for a position in the English Department at Radford University and stayed for the clean waterways and lovely mountains.
