The City of Radford presents the 2023 Summer Concert Series Kickoff with Music from The Catalina's on Saturday, May 20, 2023 on the Glencoe Lower Field at Glencoe Mansion, Museum & Gallery.

Enjoy the 2023 Summer Concert Series Kickoff featuring beach music from The Catalina's. Food trucks will be onsite and beer will be available for purchase for those 21 & older.

The Catalinas began in 1957 and is still one of the most popular bands in the southeastern US. Known for their quality, tight sound and energy onstage, they are one of the "in demand" groups for city festivals and private parties, always playing a variety of music that suits all ages.

Though known for Beach Music, regionally and nationally for the mega hit and now classic "Summertime's Callin' Me" in 1975, they play all styles to a high standard of excellence. The band has recorded and released over 75 songs, most notably the regional hit "You Haven't The Right" and the above mentioned "Summertime's Callin' Me" which was a large part of creating what is now called "Beach Music".

Tickets are $5.00 per person and children under 12 are free.

IDs are required to purchase alcohol.

Gates open at 6:00 PM and the concert begins at 7:00 PM.
