The Town of Narrows and the Narrows Parks & Recreation presents the 72nd Annual Narrows Homecoming Festival and July 4th Celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the Narrows Town Park.

• 11:00 AM: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
• 12:00 PM: Classic Parade lineup
• 12:15-12:30 PM: Kids Parade lineup
• 12:30 PM: Classic Parade will lead Kids Parade
• 12:30-3:00 PM: Cancer Kids & Christmas Cruise-In (Masonic Lodge back parking lot)
• 1:00-6:00 PM: Free Kids Activities including Splash Pad
• 1:00-6:00 PM: Ice Skating Rink ($5.00 for 30 minutes of skate)
• 1:00-9:30 PM: Food & Retail Vendors
• 1:00-1:15 PM: Flag Raising Ceremony & National Anthem
• 1:15 PM: Welcome Speech by Mayor
• 1:30 PM: Dedication of Homecoming Festival to Allen Neely
• 2:30 PM: Watermelon Eating Contest

Bring the family out for a day of fun and celebrating! Enjoy live music headlined by Jonah Carden and Jonathan Sartin, food, games including the annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, both a Watermelon and Hot Dog Eating Contest, cruise-in, Splash Pad, bounce houses, vendors, fireworks, Annual Children's Parade and more!

Admission is $4.00 per person.

The Children's Parade is open to all children to walk or ride bikes, scooters, peddle cars, etc. and to dress up in your best patriotic attire. The line-up begins at 12:15 PM on Monroe Street behind Ragsdale football field and the parade begins at 12:30 PM. No registration required and no gas powered rides allowed.

The Double Elimination 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament is $10.00 per player with a maximum of five players per team. There are three divisions: Grades 4th-7th, Grades 8th-12th and Adults 18+. Registration deadline is 11:00 AM on July 4th.

The Inaugural Watermelon Contest will be at 2:30 PM and Hot Dog Easting Contest will be at 3:00 PM beside the middle shelter each with a $4.00 entry fee. There are three divisions for each contest (same as basketball tournament) with each winner taking half the entry fee.

The gates open at 12:00 PM and the activities will start at 12:30 PM with the annual Children's Parade.

The rain date will be on Saturday, July 8th.

The Narrows Town Park, or "The Boom", is located on Route 61 between Wolf Creek and Park Drive in Narrows, VA.
