Gaye Y. Whitaker Memorial Fund presents the Grub Truck Rodeo on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center.
Join us for our first annual Grub Truck Rodeo following our Brewser Boot Camp Run. We will have a beer garden provided by Blue Ridge Beverage, food vendors and live music from Tate Tuck and JT & G (formerly of Barren Minds).
Food Trucks Line-Up:
• Bluegrass BBQ
• Cabo Fish Taco
• Simple Fixins
• Sunset Slush of Claytor Lake
When young artist Tate Tuck makes music, it’s clear that he’s an old soul. His soulful voice, infused with a hint of southern drawl, accompanied by intricate guitar picking beyond his years, puts a unique spin on some old standards and current favorites!
Raised on a farm at Smith Mountain Lake, Tate brings a unique perspective to a show that weaves in and out of genres like bluegrass, folk, blues, country, rock, R&B, and even a little rap!

Entry into the Grub Truck Rodeo event is free, but this is a fundraiser so all donations are welcome.
All drink proceeds will benefit the Gaye Y. Whitaker Memorial Fund in support of local New River Valley women battling cancer.
The event is rain or shine.
The event will be held at 1311 Research Center Drive in Blacksburg, VA located within the Virginia Tech Research Center.
