The Newport Community Center presents Joseph Allred, Amelia Empson, and Solar Hex in concert on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Enjoy an evening of folk music from touring guitarist Joseph Allred with local support from Amelia Empson and Solar Hex. This event will take place at the historic Newport Community Center in Giles County, Virginia.

Joseph Allred is a guitarist and musician from Crawford, Tennessee.

Amelia Empson plays a variety of Indie-Folk and Americana covers and originals from the Appalachian Mountains with talent far beyond her years.

Solar Hex, based in Blacksburg, VA, performs venerable cello and vocal concoctions from the house on chicken legs deep in the hollow.

Currently focused on exploring color and tone, and the ways in which the sound of an acoustic cello can be stretched and extended.

Admission is $10.00 per person and all ages are welcome.

Doors open at 6:00 PM and the music starts at 7:00 PM.
