The Virginia Tech School of Performing Art presents the VT Philharmonic in concert on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech.

Join the VT Philharmonic, under the baton of Mathias Elmer, in their first concert of the season.

The Virginia Tech Philharmonic Orchestra (VTPhil) is Virginia Tech's symphony orchestra, made up of music majors and non-majors from across the university. It is a twenty-first-century symphony orchestra focusing on standard repertoire as well as on works from underrepresented composers on a high artistic level.

On the program:
• Overture No. 1 in E Minor, op. 23 by Louise Farrenc
• Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun L. 86, by Claude Debussy
• Symphony in D Minor by César Franck

Admission is $15.00 for the general public, $12.00 for seniors and $10.00 for Virginia Tech students and youth.
