Jones Car Company presents the 2nd Annual Jimmyfest Cruise-In and Cook Out on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Time to shine the tires and bring your ride to Shawsville! Join us for our second annual Cruise-In & Cook Out to celebrate the life of James "Jimmy" Buriak. We want to see your classic cruisers, muscle cars, off road SUVs, lifted trucks, euro specialties, and everything in between.

No entry fees or awards, this is just for fun to show off what you’ve got.

We’ll be providing free hot dogs, chips and non-alcoholic beverages.

Donations will be gladly accepted for the AWS1 James Buriak Foundation and merchandise will be available for purchase. Jimmy's wife Megan will be on site to talk about the foundation's mission and Jimmy's legacy.

AWS1 James "Jimmy" Philip Buriak, USN, died 31 August 2021 in a Naval helicopter crash on the coast of San Diego, where he served as a naval aircrewman rescue swimmer (AWS) with HSC-8. The legacy of a hero is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example. This foundation was created in the wake of Jimmy’s death as a way to honor him and his memory but also keep his purpose alive – to help others. Jimmy served as a rescue swimmer whose motto is, "So others may live". Jimmy was our friend and Salem High School classmate, please help us honor his legacy by donating whatever you can.

Note: This event was originally scheduled for Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th, but had to be postponed due to weather.
