Description:
The Radford University Planetarium presents Thursday Night at the Planetarium with "Secret Lives of Stars" on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
Join us for an evening at the Radford University Planetarium! We will take you on a tour of the current sky, including the planets, prominent stars, and constellations that you can see now. We will fly you through space to see what lies beyond our own planet. And then we will have an amazing full dome planetarium show that will have something for everyone.
"Secret Lives of Stars" Synopsis:
Not all stars are created equal. Some are massive. Others are tiny; almost insignificant. The specific characteristics of a star will determine what type of life it will lead, how long it might live and even the type of death it will die. We will witness the amazing variety of stars and peer into their secret lives. Narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart of TV's Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard, and the X-Men films.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
Radford University Planetarium is located at 925 East Main Street in Radford, VA.
