The Radford University College of Visual & Performing Arts wraps up their 2023 Plein Air Workshop Series with "Beauty in the Details" on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Selu Conservancy in Radford, VA.
In late October, the change of seasons will be in the air at Selu. Crisp days. Animals scurrying to prepare for winter. A burst of color in the trees. Perhaps some morning frost. This is a beautiful time of year to calm our mind and reflect on nature’s beauty.
The instructor is Robin Poteet. She is a native Virginian, a long-time watercolorist, a passionate drawer, sketcher and a teacher of workshops locally, nationally and abroad. Join her for a day of exploring techniques and finding noble subjects in the simplest of things around us. Using a sketchbook and small pieces of watercolor paper, Robin will guide participants through the design process, mark making, color choices and the joy of applying brush to paper.

Workshops are 100% free. Both students and the public are welcome.
Enjoy monthly artist sessions, outdoors at Radford University's Selu Conservancy, an impressive retreat that offers 380 acres of natural beauty and charm.
In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be Sunday, October 29th.
