The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley presents an Art Reception for their new exhibit "Altered Art" on Friday, October 20, 2023.
A troupe of artists from throughout the New River Valley will present three dozen exotic works recreated from found art and objects. Enjoy the art reception with the artists on-site.
The exhibit is organized by local artist, Diane Relf. "People are excited to show off their unusual work," Relf said. The artists use different strategies to create their new works of art, with some being a recognizable modification to others being an inspired transformation.
Each piece will be displayed with a before image and artist explanation. The show will also include two pieces that visitors will be invited to alter as a collaborative art project throughout the show, perhaps inspiring new art to be created inspired by the show.
There is no charge to attend the show.
The show runs from Friday, October 13th through Saturday, November 18th.
The gallery is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is located at 21 West Main Street in Pulaski, VA.
