The YMCA at Virginia Tech presents their 1st Annual YMCA Empty Bowls on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at The Y Center.

Members of the Y Pottery Studio are creating beautiful bowls for you to choose upon arrival at the event. Four restaurants will provide soups for you to enjoy and of course you will vote for your favorite!

Bread or crackers, soft drinks and dessert items will also be included along with live music while you enjoy this special community meal.

Proceeds will benefit our Meals On Main program which provides food to children in the New River Valley facing food insecurity.

For this event there will be two ticket levels: "With a Bowl" to keep or "Without a Bowl". The "With the Bowl" option is $35.00 for an individual, $65.00 per couple and $20.00 for kids 12 & under. The "Without a Bowl" option is $25.00 for an individual, $50.00 for a couple and $12.50 for kids 12 & under.

Ticket allows entry for one person unless otherwise specified and includes soup, crackers or bread, drink and dessert item.

Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities. Empty Bowls supports food-related charitable organizations around the world, and has raised millions of dollars to help end hunger.
