Description:
The Pulaski County, Virginia 250th American Revolution Commemoration Committee presents the Afterschool Learning Program titled "Count Pulaski's Kids" on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum.
Our Committee is pleased to offer an afterschool learning program called "Count Pulaski's Kids" to share history topics from the American Revolution through children's videos, book readings and hands on crafts.
The first program will be on the Boston Tea Party. Participating kids will learn about the Boston Tea Party that took place 250 years ago through several videos and book readings then they will paint their own mini tea cup with patriotic colors.
The ideal age range for the program is 4th-6th graders. This program is open to all and we hope public, homeschool, and private school children will join us.
The program is free to attend, but donations are welcome to off set cost of craft supplies. Craft supplies are limited to the first 15 attendees.
We hope to offer more dates either monthly or bi-monthly depending on the committee and volunteer assistance.
The Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Transportation Museum is located at 51 Commerce Street in Pulaski, VA.
