Description:
The Lyric Theatre presents a Lunch & Learn titled "Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 on the Road to Prosperity Tour" on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
Arts and culture are an important economic engine and a quality of life for the Montgomery County area. Based on a study for 2022, the local non-profit arts and culture industry of Montgomery County generated nearly $42 million in economic activity, which supported 697 jobs and generated $7.1 million in tax revenues.
To learn about this and more, please join Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research with Americans for the Arts, when he makes three public presentations on November 29th-30th as part of the "AEP6 on the Road to Prosperity Tour."
Mr. Cohen will discuss the national Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 Study (AEP6), held every five years, which highlights the economic and social impacts of local arts and culture. Mr. Cohen is a nationally recognized speaker and authority.
This is the first time the study included Montgomery County. Surveys were coordinated by Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Montgomery County Regional Tourism.
Admission is free.
All attendees will be entered into a raffle to win great prizes from local arts organizations.
The Lyric Theatre is located at 135 College Avenue in Blacksburg, VA.
