Ash Devine is an accomplished songwriter, ukulele and guitar player, performance artist, educator, and community-based arts facilitator whose work is influenced by her upbringing in the Blue Ridge mountains, and by her international travels to perform in health care facilities with Patch Adams M.D. Devine is known as a true ‘folk troubadour’ because she writes, collects, and performs cross genre music based on numerous folk traditions including original Americana & indie-folk-rock, traditional Appalachian old time, contemporary folk, country blues, historic bluegrass, folk revival, classic rock, and international folk music. Ash has self produced two albums of original music, and is working on two more, including a traditional Appalachian and folk legacy compilation.
Born and raised in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, Ash lived for over 17 years in the Western North Carolina region where she developed her studies of Appalachian music traditions.

https://soundcloud.com/ash-devineBarry & The Mudflaps features the bluegrass banjo of Barry Collins and other top bluegrass musicians from around Floyd County and The New River Valley. Featuring Barry Collins, Patrick Robertson, Allen Surface, Glenn Scaggs and Nikki Wright.
Join us at the Floyd Country Store every Saturday at noon for Americana Afternoons. Each Saturday enjoy multiple musicians performing live on the stage inside The Floyd Country Store.
The music is varied, but has the common thread of Americana, traditional acoustic music. Some of it is indigenous, including bluegrass, or the music of contemporary singer-songwriters: you might hear the blues, or some of the Celtic or African sounds that underpin our American folk traditions.
Admission is free.
Saturday lunch at the store is a special event. Pick up one of our homemade soups or sandwiches, or a plate of farm-fresh salad and find a table near the stage.
