Science on Tap - New River Valley presents their January program titled "Hoofin' Around: Keeping Forestry Sustainable with Animal Power and Restorative Practices" on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery.
Lifelong forester, farmer, and horseman Jason Rutledge will discuss his work with the Healing Harvest Forest Foundation to promote horse logging and restorative forestry practices. We will hear stories you have never heard before and will leave with a new perspective on the forest!
Admission is free and open to the public.
Science on Tap - New River Valley is a monthly event with science-inspired speakers, performers, and discussions. We support bringing science to our community and our community’s support to local research.
We kick off the event with games, comedy, or other fun things. Then, an invited guest researcher demos their research. And then we'll discuss, ask questions, learn together and mingle.
