Mountain Lake Lodge presents a German Buffet Style Dinner with The Sauerkraut Band on Saturday, January 26, 2024.
The Sauerkraut Band is dusting off their lederhosen and tuning their accordions for a comeback at Mountain Lake Lodge! Join us for an unforgettable night filled with delicious German food, fantastic live music by the Sauerkraut Band, and a vibrant atmosphere. Seating will be family style seating featuring long tables with chairs on both sides to embrace the occasion. Join us as The Sauerkraut Band takes the stage again for just three nights in January!
The Sauerkraut Band is a professional musical organization based in the New River Valley in Southwest Virginia performing authentic German style music in traditional Bavarian style clothing.
The musical styles include traditional beer tent favorites such as Leichtensteiner Polka, Rosemunde (Beer Barrel Polka), Alte Kameraden Marsch, Yorkshire Marsch, and group-participation numbers such as The Chicken Dance and Rucki Zucki. Comprised of over a dozen members, the band’s repertoire spans a wide range of polkas, waltzes, and marches, as well as folk dances such as the landler, schuplattler, and zwiefache.

The German Buffet menu entrees include Pork Schnitzel, Sauerbraten and Grilled Sausages along with starters, salads, sides, rolls with butter and German Chocolate Cake.
